Question: I have only met my Dad once in my life about a year ago. Do I just send him a card for fathers day or do i also get a gift?
Answer: A card is enough. If you've only met the man once, and that was about a year ago, it seem that neither of you are exactly pining for a closer relationship. A card at different holidays a couple or three times a year will keep the door open, if either of you ever decides to attempt to get to know the other.
